Today the Miami Dolphins gathered the associated press to introduce new GM Brimar_Stu, the following is a summary of the press statement:ffice:office" /><o>:p></o>:p>

"Firstly I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all for being here today and also to thank the other GM's of the league who have already started to make me feel very welcome in the league.<o>:p></o>:p>
<o>:p> </o>:p>
Many will know the GEFL Dolphins are a long way from being a playoff team at this point in time and it will surprise no-one I am sure when I say that we are not going to become a playoff calibre team overnight. It is going to take time and a lot of work to get this team back on track but time is something we have.<o>:p></o>:p>
<o>:p> </o>:p>
My own experience in the world of FOF started with the RDFL Dolphins and I’m in my 10th season as GM. I’m also currently involved with the AUFL Giants (5 seasons) and FFL Bengals (2 seasons), but as a ffice:smarttags" /><st1:city><st1>:place>Miami</st1>:place></st1:city> fan for the last 25 years (being from the UK that's quite a commitment!!!) it’s fantastic to be associated with the GEFL Fins. On a note of success yes many might be only to happy to refer to the reference books and see I’ve yet to deliver a Championship to these franchises, but we like to be involved in the post-season making 6 appearances to date and one trip to the bowl game.<o>:p></o>:p>
<o>:p> </o>:p>
Before we need to start talking Championships here with <st1:city><st1>:place>Miami</st1>:place></st1:city> we need to be talking about building a franchise that can challenge for the playoffs year on year and remain a contender. That’s certainly the aim but we’re under no illusions that it really is a monumental task.<o>:p></o>:p>
<o>:p> </o>:p>
So what’s the plan, well we don’t have much in the way of aging talent on the roster that we can look to trade for future picks so it’s clear that this is going to be a slow building process. The aim will be to use Free Agency, the draft and most likely trades to get together a unit that can gel together and really represent the franchise in the GEFL.<o>:p></o>:p>
<o>:p> </o>:p>
Many will of course be looking at Dolphin idol Dan Marino and in our first discussions with Dan we made it clear that we were in no position to offer him the run a Championship that he deserves. He is of course welcome to stay and would love to be a part of building the team but equally he will be given every chance to find another team that can give him the opportunity of winning the big one.<o>:p></o>:p>
<o>:p> </o>:p>
As GM I look forward to being in contact with all of the GM’s in the league and building good relationships that I hope can lead to worthwhile trades for both teams moving forwards. It’s great to see some excellent GM’s in the AFC East and we know we have a fight on our hands. We have the spirit and the time to get things moving in the right direction for a franchise that has clearly struggled over the last 3 seasons”.<o>:p></o>:p>
