Birmingham PK Jason Elam needs 3 FG to break the season record currently held by Chris Bahr. Bahr made 41/54 attempts in 1980. Elam, a 3rd rd pick in his 3rd year has made 39/41 attempts this season for an astonishing 95.1% accuracy. He is also 16/18 (88.9%) over 40 yards and 4/4 over 50 yards.

Nah, that must have been another kicker in another league! Funny thing, I wasn't even in the market for a kicker in that draft but BigHouse pointed him out and he was too good to pass up...

I remember i have only really seen two kickers with that great of combines.

And on a related note, the real Jason Elam signs a one-day contract with the Broncos to retire in the blue and orange. Thanks for the memories, Mr. Future Hall-of-Famer.

I got to see Elam kick in high school. I'll never forget him hitting a 30 yard FG that not only was good but it also cleared a small parking lot. He probably would have hit it from 60 on that kick.

Jason Elam shatters the previous record (41) for FGs in a season, going 44/46 (95.7%). He also edges out Washingont's Donald Igwebuike for most points in a single season (182 to 181.)
