This is my feeling on it..

A mon-wed-fri schedule would be perfect with no midweeks

Or just do the midweeks tuesday, thursday, and sunday.

If we go 3, I would definitely like to see this approach implemented.

Midweeks are more work for the admin - I just don't think they are necessary.

I totally agree here.

I am in 3 leagues that don't use midweeks and they all run very smoothly.

Okay, then help me understand what I'm missing here.

Let's say I have an injury during the game that drops me below roster minimum. I can't even fill out the depth chart now, because I don't have enough somethin-backs to do the job.

So, for game file, I go out and sign a guy to meet roster minimum. How do I stop him from being placed as the starter, or becoming the 47th active guy, or some other such garbage? In the past, without the midweek, I've had just such a thing happen. Some loser I signed to make roster requirements ended up messing up my starting lineup. It seemed to me the midweek file was the protection against this.

What am I missing here?

It is tough for Yoda but i agree we need to have midweeks.

I like the game days of Mon Wed and Fri

So we make pre game days Tues Thurs and Sat/Sun

I want to somehow intergrate the three games in a week for sure and want midweeks. I am in essentially my 2nd MP year and really devulge into the stats and ratings. I try to do my research and set my rosters so the midweeks are important to me.

If we keep midweeks I think we have to stay at 2 games a week. Otherwise that is asking him to do 6 sims a week. That is too much work to put on one person.

I personally never, ever use midweeks. I can't remember the last time I had to.

Its simple.

You can leave a slot empty on the depth chart for the player you need to sign if you want him in your depth chart.

If you don't want him on your depth chart but need him to fill out a roster you can just submit a file with 45 active players.

The key is this. For every player you are trying to sign make sure you submit your roster with the same amount of open slots. If you want to sign 3 players then only submit a file with 43 active players. I just did this in one of my leagues and it left my rosters and game plan all exactly as I had set it.

This is how I do it in my other leagues and I have yet to come across any issues.

I don't mind doing 6 sims a week (though if there is one on Saturday, there are no guarentees on when it would be run, it would probably be either an early morning SIM or a Sunday SIM).

But, after the trade deadline, I would only run midweeks upon request. At least, that's my current feeling.

As long as you have the most current game week file on your computer, I could run 50 midweeks, and your file would still be good.

But, we have a good bit of time to work that out.
