The Draft
1.15. CB Deltha O'Neal, Cal

Interviewed: Hard 2 Read.
Projected: 30/62

We needed a shutdown left corner, and he comes with everything, including a good interception bar, and he even returns kicks.

1.28 S Erik Olson, Colorado
6-1, 210 lbs.
Interviewed: Hard 2 Read
Very low volatility.
Projected numbers: 25/55

Solid Bars, good combines in Solevision and Agility, and he seems to be a good special teams contributor.
1.30. CB Pat Dennis, Louisiana Monroe
6-0, 208 lbs
Interviewed: Hard 2 Read
Very High Volatility
Projected numbers: 30/57

Run D seems to be better than the bars, but the guy's combine score in the 40 is good, another corner with good interception bars similar to O'Neal's, and he's another very solid special teams contributor.
2.1. QB Jarius Jackson, Notre Dame
6-0, 228 lbs: Ten formations, Roll Out QB
Very High Volatilty
Did Not Interview
Affinity with team leader
Projected: 18/60

He's a fast roll out quarterback. Gotta love that.
I like his combine numbers but the agility drill is slightly below average. Not bad, not terrible, just a tad bit below average. Bars look good, and he's one of two quarterbacks that wasn't conflicted with our running back.
I'm a little worried about his intelligence. Don't have the scouting report on that, but this was a reach. Our young qb from last year looks like a very solid, very capable backup, but I'm not certain he'll be our qb of the future. Took a shot. What the heck, why not?

So, what did we get in the first round? Three defensive backs that dramatically improve our defensive stables. And, all three have solid to good interception bars, two are fast, two of the three are above average, and all three contribute to special teams. It's a move that builds a defensive backfield foundation.
The quarterback Jackson was an insurance pick..again, he's only one of two quarterbacks that wasn't conflicted with our backfield team leader, and I like his speed.
Third round next, and we have three picks.

3.2. FB Dan Kreider, New Hampshire
5-11, 246 lbs
Interviewed: V.O.
Projected: 25/55

The Edge and Barry have needed a run blocking tight end since last season, and we purged the one year wonders from our roster. Third round was always the round where we had Kreider targeted, and we took a slight gamble he'd be there. Let's face it, the number of guys in FOF who would draft a fullback in the first or second round is small, so he should have been there at 3.2. And he was.
Bars look great, but his endurance bar isn't the greatest. Combine's look good, but he's subpar on speed. Not bad, but not good.

Okay, I couldn't find a college picture of Micah Knorr, Punter from Utah State, so I inserted the Detroit Pride Cheerleader.
And..It's a punter..what are you gong to write about?
