The World Champion Minnesota Vikings released pictures of there new 99,000 capacity stadium today including pictures of the first game played within the new stadium. The Stadium has been named the “Twin City Stadium” although a deal has believed to have been struck with Minneapolis’s biggest employer and Fortune 500 company The Target Corporation to sponsor the Franchise, a first for American Football Team. The Stadium lies on the banks of the Mississippi across from downtown Minneapolis and has great transport links allowing wonderful access to the football crazy population of the state.

The 2000 Pro Bowl game was played in the new stadium after Hurricane Nora made it impossible for the game to played in Hawaii.

There are 10 Restaurants within the Stadium including the “Conway” named in honour of Wide Receiver Curtis Conway 190 yard 3 Touchdown destruction of the Redskins in the 2000 NFC Championship Game and the “Pickles” Restaurant after his MVP performance in the 2000 GEFL Bowl. There are also 20 conference rooms (5 named after Vikings All Pro Players Emitt Smith, Ted Washington, Jerry Robinson, Ken Norton Jnr and Phillip Daniels) 3 state of the art gyms and the world’s first press box using Fibre Optic technology.

Well "Twin City" Stadium hosted it first game today and 99,000 Vikings fans came out to see there heroes. GM Kailan said we could have sold twice as many tickets. The Vikings played the Browns and ran out 26-9 winners. In a press conference after the game GM Kailan said it's a fortress we've never been beaten here and that's some record!
