I confirm except that I said I have no 2nd next year, so that would be my 1995 2nd on that post (that's what I PMed I think).
Hoping to get an impact player at 1.07.

Since the GEFL draft class is not disclosed yet, I can't say who I'd pick ^^

Stop giving away your blue chippers for nothing. Low second rounders have a less value than in other leagues. Rounds 3-4 are shakey at best and rounds 5-7 might as well not exist.
At the very least demand first rounders for your studs at QB, WR, DE and CB.
OK so i want an honest opinion on my trade with Alf. I see where you are coming from on people dropping from other spots. I had a few offers that were 1st and 2nd to move down 20 spots which i thought was awful. I want the brutal honesty now that the draft has come out. I moved down 16 spots and got a 2nd, 2 3rds, and a 6th.

A 1.7 is going to, in all likelihood, land a bluechipper.
A 1.23 - not so much (sure you have a chance, but a lot has to fall your way and it probably won't happen.)
The second rounders - a late one, most likely, is going to yield a marginal player at the skill positions or perhaps a good player at a marginal position (like center, guard, fullback, te, etc..)
The two late thirds are like the late second, but with huge moles with hair growing out of them.
The sixth has late stage pig flu.
If you are going to trade a lottery-type pick for a pick in the 1.20s, you have to insist, at minimum (particularly in this league) on a future first in addition to that mid-late first.
LOTTERY PICKS ARE YOUR LIFELINE. GUARD THEM JEALOUSLY.
Don't be dazzled by a bunch of picks coming your way. Do not use the draft pick value chart - it does not accurately model GEFL. Lottery picks, later first rounders, and to a much much much lesser degree, second rounders. That is the currency in this league. 3rd through 7th rounders are practically worthless. If you see them coming your way in a trade, then you are getting hornswaggled 95% of the time.
Essentially, you get a late-ish 1 and a late 2 for a lottery pick. Alf wins, big time.
Finally, do not fall for the siren's call of MULTIPLE PICKS FOR THE SAKE OF DEPTH OR REBUILDING.
GEFL is about quality, not quantity.

Thank you Subby for your painfull assesment
I am actually contemplating the opposite idea of moving down to grab multiple low firsts. I have no idea how the draft class looks yet (haven't been able to check the latest file), but moving down is a very likely possibility.

If you have a championship team in place and you luck in to a lottery pick then I could see doing something like this, maybe. But if you have holes at the premium positions and you could fill one of those holes with your premium pick, then I think you are making a mistake by trading down too far.
Stud guards do not win championships. I don't care if they are rated 100/100.

Maybe not but put two of those guys together with average C and your running game is killer, you just need a RB with a decent amount of hole recognition.
I am trying to figure out why people value DTs a lot more than Gs and DEs a lot more than Ts. They line up opposite each other. In fact, a good pass blocking LT can go a long way to neutralizing a pass rush.
In general, I agree with Subby. In someways it's harsh, but it's true.

I found this really interesting. In solo play historical leagues the drafts always have no depth so I expected that here but wasnt sure what to think after last years deep draft. In solo play its like you cant even find a guy worth a roster spot from the 4th on. As for the trade I dont think you should ever move a pick until you see the draft class. Really unless you know there wont be anyone there you like I dont think you should move a pick until you are on the clock.
