Default 1996 Draft Relook

Sorry for the delay guys but here is the draft relook from the previous year.

Round 7
Los Angeles Rams
7
22
RB Marrio Grier (1996- )
78 att, 352 yds, 3 TDs, 4.51 ypc. 11 catches, 103 yds, 0 TDs, 6.06 ypt.287

Not the starter but a really reliable reserve back that can handle the blitz nicely.

Buffalo Bills
7
13
LG Aaron Graham (1996- )
14 for 30 KRB. (46.7%) 1 pnk.204

Steel had this guy play in all 16 games and did not allow a sack the whole year.
Oklahoma Outlaws
7
25
FB Scott Greene (1996- )
0 att, 0 yds, 0 TDs, 0.00 ypc. 20 catches, 127 yds, 2 TDs, 4.23 ypt.168

A bit of a creeper and is still Green(what a pun haha) 25% on his run blocks and 80% completion on receptions.
Pittsburgh Steelers
7
4
RCB Gordon Wyman (1996- )
35 tkl, 13 assists, 1 INTs, 3 psdef, 74.8 PDPct.290

I put Wyman lower then he should be because BighouseBrock only played him 4 games. He has a 77% pass defense in his career but is inactive atm
Oakland Raiders
7
21
P Norris Bouman (1996- )
punts, 2808 yds, , 2344 net,25 in20. 39.0 avg. 32.6 netavg.-6

Man leave it to Tim to play a 7th round punter the whole year. Bouman was decent in 16 games and i had to put him up here as an also mention.

Round 6
This might have been one of the worst 6 round talents i have seen. I could only find 5 legit contenders.
Detroit Lions
6
6
C Mike Flanagan (1996- )
6 for 13 KRB. (46.2%) 1 pnk.136

The steal of the draft. This kid is rated 48/49 and is still green all over. Yeah 6th round choice wow great pick.
New York Jets
6
11
C Bryan Stoltenberg (1996- )
20 for 64 KRB. (31.3%) 0 pnk.196

Funny Yoda and his late round lineman each year. He has a good player here that has started every game since coming to Neew York for Yoda.
New Orleans Saints
6
8
FB Detron Smith (1996- )
0 att, 0 yds, 0 TDs, 0.00 ypc. 3 catches, 38 yds, 0 TDs, 12.67 ypt.54

Stokes made a good pick here and helps now that he has Priest Holmes too.

Oakland Raiders
6
22
C Timothy Carmichael (1996- )
24 for 69 KRB. (34.8%) 0 pnk.59

Disturbed once again did well with a late round pick. He started 16 games and was under the helm fro Elway the entire year only giving up 6 sacks.

Round 5

New England Patriots
5
3
FS Anthony "Tony Jr" Dorsett (1996- )
66 tkl, 32 assists, 1 INTs, 8 psdef, 77.9 PDPct.547

I am sure older Tony is happy to see his sibling playing over his skill level here. Nighttrain makes a nice selection early in the 5th.
Miami Dolphins
5
2
WLB Donnell McAfee (1996- )
80 tkl, 30 assists, 1.0 sacks, 0 hurries.643

We know the Dolphins defense was shabby but Donnell had the best pass defense on the team and had 74 tackles. Stu made a good move here.
Cincinnati Bengals
5
30
RCB Eric Smedley (1996- )
23 tkl, 5 assists, 1 INTs, 5 psdef, 81.2 PDPct.402

Good to great pass defense is in the 80%. This kid has 1 pick and iBomb has a great nickel/dime corner.

Oakland Raiders
5
21
RT Rod Jones (1996- )
16 for 42 KRB. (38.1%) 0 pnk.170

Disturbed plays another rookie on the oline that is actualyl starting in his second year.
Kansas City Chiefs
5
26
SS Brian Walker (1996- )
32 tkl, 11 assists, 1 INTs, 3 psdef, 75.3 PDPct.236

ChuckD gets decent playmaking from his reserve safety. He gets a little too high a score cause he had a pick but still is a nice little corner.

Round 4
Seattle Seahawks
4
2
MLB J.R. Garner (1996- )
87 tkl, 25 assists, 1.0 sacks, 5 hurries.861

Wow Brownkeg what a pick here. He steps into the league and finds a stud ILB to lead his team. Nice pick.
Baltimore Colts
4
19
SE Patrick Jeffers (1996- )
83 catches, 900 yds, 5 TDs, 7.56 ypt.554

A good all around wide out for Bulldog(who i think is not here anymore)
Birmingham Stallions
4
31
FS Leomont Evans (1996- )
43 tkl, 14 assists, 2 INTs, 7 psdef, 81.6 PDPct.540

Hard hitting ball hawking safety for Deep Post before he moved to Cleveland. He alos had 4 forced fumbles.
Houston Oilers
4
28
K Olindo Mare (1996- )
51-51 XP, 35-41 FG.402

You can never miss a late round special teamer when JZ is in the draft. Here he got a kicker that will be good for the next few years.
New Orleans Saints
4
32
RB Hubert Dunlap (1996- )
108 att, 452 yds, 0 TDs, 4.19 ypc. 10 catches, 37 yds, 0 TDs, 2.85 ypt.256

Dunlap is less then average at everything except making defenders miss. He is a great compliment for Stokes and Priest this year.

Round 3
Los Angeles Rams
3
22
RDE Keith McKenzie (1996- )
46 tkl, 15 assists, 7.5 sacks, 20 hurries.785

Jsut an outright steal here at DE. Mr Illini takes one of the best finesse edge rushers in this draft at pick 3.22 wow.
Minnesota Vikings
3
10
RDE Phillip Daniels (1996- )
25 tkl, 17 assists, 6.5 sacks, 11 hurries.533

Defense rules this 3rd round as John gets a good allaround DE that excels in run defense.
Washington Redskins
3
32
FS Reggie Tongue (1996- )
27 tkl, 6 assists, 1 INTs, 6 psdef, 77.7 PDPct.297

Reserve safety that just made plays for Subby last year in the defensive backfield. A good pickup as the last pick in the 3rd round.
New York Jets
3
21
SS Matt Stevens (1996- )
35 tkl, 12 assists, 0 INTs, 2 psdef, 74.4 PDPct.254

Steal. Yoda would have had even larger numbers except Rodney Harrison is the man in New York. This kid should be starting somewhere.
Houston Oilers
3
28
RG Spencer Folau (1996- )
20 for 53 KRB. (37.7%) 1 pnk.67
This guy played over 500 snaps at Guard as a rookie and stuggled at times for JZ. He ended up the last 5 games playing lights out.

Round 2
Pittsburgh Steelers
2
14
SLB Kevin Hardy (1996- )
63 tkl, 30 assists, 4.0 sacks, 5 hurries.807

BHB gets a good piece of the defense in Hardy. He also had 1 forced fumble.
Minnesota Vikings
2
20
K Adam Vinatieri (1996- )
51-51 XP, 40-51 FG.447

A little early for a 90+ rated kicker right? John grabbed his "kicker 4 life"
New England Patriots
2
3
RB Stephen Davis (1996- )
292 att, 1093 yds, 4 TDs, 3.74 ypc. 25 catches, 120 yds, 0 TDs, 3.16 ypt.682

In 15 games he had 950 yards rushing. He does not turn the ball over and gets 3.7ypc with a terrible offensive line.
Pittsburgh Steelers
2
1
SS Shawn Wooden (1996- )
98 tkl, 28 assists, 1 INTs, 7 psdef, 75.4 PDPct.657

For BHB was the last line of defense and played great as it recording 74 tackles last year.
Cleveland Browns
2
7
RCB Aaron Beasley (1996- )
42 tkl, 18 assists, 3 INTs, 6 psdef, 79.7 PDPct.

Great rookie season for an ownerless team forcing 4 turnovers. I am sure DP is happy to have him now that he is there.

Round 1
OK now to the big picks
Philadelphia Eagles
1
14
RCB Marcus Coleman (1996- )
57 tkl, 15 assists, 11 INTs, 27 psdef, 89.8 PDPct.2,020

The absolute best pick this year was the 10 interception Coleman by Web. I usually have later round picks for him but this is worth being the only time up.
Atlanta Falcons
1
20
RB Tim Biakabutuka (1996- )
302 att, 1406 yds, 5 TDs, 4.66 ypc. 22 catches, 158 yds, 1 TDs, 4.94 ypt.907

At pick 20 Schwantz gets a 1000 yard rusher that pounds out the tough years. This is a huge upgrade from Bo Jackson for sure.
Philadelphia Eagles
1
21
LCB Tyrone Williams (1996- )
33 tkl, 13 assists, 0 INTs, 6 psdef, 76.2 PDPct.464

I see a plan here by Web. The teams he plays like to pass and let's stop the pass. Man two total stud corners that is awesome.
Miami Dolphins
1
2
FL Keyshawn Johnson (1996- )
122 catches, 1821 yds, 8 TDs, 8.35 ypt.1,018

Let me throw this at you. He had 8 targets and 0 catches in the first game. so in 15 games he had 96 catches for 1300 yards.

And an also mention thrown in there
Washington Redskins
1
1
FL Marvin Harrison (1996- )
121 catches, 1521 yds, 10 TDs, 8.22 ypt.1,065

I could not leave out one of the only times 3 players on 1 team get 1000 yards receiveing and Harrison does it for Subby as a 3rd stinger.
